Happy Birthday!!
Dear Family and Friends,
I want to start off by wishing Mom a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! It's amazing to think that 29 years ago you were born. Time flies! Pretty soon I'm going to be older than you though haha. Hopefully tomorrow will be a nice day for you so you can enjoy your birthday. It's certainly getting cold over here and I'm not enjoying it at all!
Other than the weather, things are going very well here. We took C... and her kids J... and Z... to church and they loved it. C... is still wanting to be baptized and she is awesome. She had lots of input and questions during class at church, and she seemed excited to come back. Hopefully that will make Z... more comfortable and want to be baptized. She is a little scared and hasn't wanted to, but that's alright. She just needs to get used to things for a while.
We also took W... to church. She really enjoyed it too. The whole time during sacrament meeting, she was wiping tears from her eyes. She could only stay for sacrament, and her kids weren't able to come today, but she said that she really liked it and would bring the kids next week. They have weekends with their dad so it's hard to bring them out to church. I'm glad that everyone enjoyed church because we called the speakers and told them to include specific things in their talks that applied to the things that C... and W... faced. There's no way they couldn't have felt the Spirit. I think by the end of this week, that W... and her son J... will be preparing for baptism! They are doing great! We also had another investigator G... come to church and we met another lady who has been coming to church for several weeks now and agreed to have us come and teach her next week. We've also found several other people that I think will want to have us teach them. In the next few weeks, the work here is going to explode! I'm really excited.
I'm in a tri-companionship this transfer and so far it's working out well. Their names are Elder Walker and Amone. Elder Walker is from Oregon and he's been out for about a year. He works really hard and we get a lot done. Elder Amone is cool. He's just out of the MTC and is from Florida. He's Tongan and is a big man! We're sleeping in a bunk bed (we had to take down the bunk couch) and he sleeps on the top, so I'm afraid that one night the bed will break and he'll crash down on top of me haha.
We have another Tongan in the apartment. Elder Firpo's new companion is Elder Tokoma'ata and he's straight from Tonga. He doesn't speak the best English but it's really good for the short time that he's been out. He is also really big.
Well I don't have a lot of time this week to email so I have to end. I hope everyone has a great week! I love you!
Love,
Andrew
p.s. I don't think we will have any time for making pumpkin pie, so don't worry about sending any ingredients for that lol. Just surprise me haha. I really like those cookies that grandma dips in white chocolate and I always love your cookies too mom.
Great Times With C... And Her Children!
